Alison Halsey was called to the church as pastor in 2000 after serving as pastor of the University Presbyterian Church in Buffalo, New York. Raised in New Jersey, she received a BA in Elementary Education from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) in 1974, a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1977 and a Doctor of Ministry from Colgate Rochester Divinity School 1990 in counseling.

Alison is an advisory member of the Board for the Patrick Allison House for Men and the Jane Egenton Home for Girls. She serves on the Preparation for Ministry Committee of the Baltimore Presbytery.

Alison is married to the Rev. Dr. William Hathaway who is the Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Annapolis, MD. They have two sons, Halsey, who holds a Masters in Fine Arts and is an artist, along with his wife, Jolynn, in New York, and Daniel, a graduate of the University of Delaware and is employed as an insurance adjuster. Dan and Melissa are the proud parents of Brianna (the amazing granddaughter). They live in Wilmington, Delaware. Alison and Bill live in the church's manse in Annapolis. They enjoy hiking and camping, are fans of the National Parks in general and make frequent visitors to Chincoteaque and Assateague Islands. In the little free time she has she enjoys weaving.
