Confirmation Class and Inquiry

A group of young adults meets on the second floor of the Backus House beginning at 9:15 AM every other week for a time of spiritual exploration. What is it we believe about God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the church?

Children

Sunday School is held every Sunday on the second floor of the Backus House. The children attend worship with their parents and are then dismissed following the children’s message for class and children’s musical training. Kathy McQuire is coordinating the Sunday School this year; First and Franklin uses the “We Believe” curriculum produced by the Presbyterian Church, USA.

There is infant and toddler care located on the second floor as well. The trained caregiver has experience in a day care setting.

Other Activities

Periodically the children have special activities during the year like a communion education event, church picnic, the Christmas Pageant, pancake brunch, and other opportunities.
