She is considered one of America’s most distinguished contemporary artists and is a true pioneer in the revival of encaustic painting. Encaustic painting is a process of painting with pigmented melted waxes first developed by the Egyptians.

Dorothy Masom has had hundreds of solo shows and numerous exhibits in museums, galleries and universities. She is universally recognized as “The Dean of American Encaustic Painting” for her many contributions to this medium.

The Show will be on exhibit through December, 2018. Open Sundays from 10:30 AM-12:15PM, or by appointment during the week (call the church office 410-728-5545.)
