The Spire Series presents Percussionist, Svet Stoyanov
Praised by The New York Times for his “unmistakable virtuosity” on the marimba and a wide variety of percussion instruments, Bulgarian-born Svet Stoyanov is winner of the 2003 Concert Artists Guild International Competition. He captivates audiences with his dynamic concerto performances, his riveting recital presentations and the elegance of his chamber music collaborations.
Mr. Stoyanov is the Director of Percussion Studies and Professor of Percussion at the Frost School of Music, Universty of Miami, FL. In addition to his diverse performance career, Mr. Stoyanov is actively involved with educational outreach and presents numerous clinics and workshops. Recent events have brought him to Michigan State University, Central Michigan University, Indiana University Bloomington, Towson University and Cleveland State University.
