ABOUT THE SANCTUARY CHOIR

The Sanctuary Choir at The First and Franklin Street Presbyterian Church is comprised of volunteer and paid choristers from the congregation and the surrounding community.  The choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00 until 9:00, September through May.  All experienced choral singers are invited to join this outstanding ensemble, which sings in worship every Sunday morning, September through mid-June at 10:30.

PURPOSE

The primary function of the Sanctuary Choir is to lead congregational singing and to uplift the Gospel message by singing music that is liturgically appropriate for every service.  The choir’s large repertoire encompasses music from every major period, including the 21st century.  Throughout the year, the Sanctuary Choir also presents large-scale sacred works at special services and concerts.

If you love singing, please consider using your talent to the glory of God!
