Dinner groups are small groups of eight to ten First & Franklin folk who
meet together once a month or so to have dinner and get to know each
other. They are very flexible; each group decides how, when, and where
to meet. A dinner group could take turns meeting in one another’s homes,
or it might decide to meet at a different restaurant each month. Each
dinner group will be asked to meet at least 6 times between October and
May. After that, you can continue, drop out, or join a new dinner group.
They’re a fun and easy way to get better acquainted with others in the
church. To enroll in a dinner group:
Write your name, phone number, and email on the Dinner Group
Sign-Up Sheet on the bulletin board near the church entrance, or
Contact Alison Halsey at 410-728-5545 or ahalsey@firstfranklin.org
and tell her you want to join a group.
The deadline for signing up is Sunday,
September 23, 2007.

Here’s a challenging opportunity to deepen your understanding of the Bible
and build community with others. It might even transform your life. A new
Disciple Bible Study group is forming this fall. "Disciple: Becoming
Disciples Through Bible Study" is a 34-week study of the whole Bible, which
will run from September to June. Participants commit to 30-40 minutes of
independent study each day and attendance at a 2½-hour study group meeting
each week. All participants will need a Disciple Study Manual ($30) and a
Study Bible. A day and time for the group’s weekly meetings has not yet been
determined. The meeting time will depend on what works best for those who
express interest. Please consider this opportunity to read and study the
Bible with a small, committed group and be challenged in your Christian
discipleship.
