INVITATION TO A VIRTUAL CONCERT BY SCOTT AND SASHA, Sunday, April 19, 2020 1:00 p.m.

Greetings, Friends – Still holed up in Rome, and again hoping to tamp down the coronavirus blues with the company of friends, we are going to do some music again this Sunday. Please join us for the third in this informal concert series, this one entitled “Cloistered by the Colosseum: Musical Diversion by Scott Fulton”. We’ll start at 1:00 Eastern US time and 7:00 Rome time, Sunday April 19th. We’ll do it with Zoom again; please scroll to the bottom here for the Zoom coordinates and instructions. Again, for those of you listening alone, I strongly suggest that you listen with headphones for the best result, as computer speakers aren’t the best, especially when it comes to compressed music.  Feel free to pass the invitation along to others.
Sasha has volunteer to assume the role of production manager, as continue to work on our Zoom proficiency. We may experiment a bit with toggling between muting and umuting, especially during the sing along songs. So, it could be a bit of a wild ride again, but, hey, that’s part of what makes it communal and fun.
For those enjoying singing along, here are some of the covers I may do this time (not necessarily in this order): Keep on the Sunny Side, What a Wonderful World, Day is Done, Volare, Hammer Song, More, 500 Miles, When the Saints Go Marching In (Springsteen Version), We Shall Overcome, Too Old to Die Young, We’ll Meet Again. Try not to be distracted if I change the lyrics or arrangement of the songs a bit here and there.
We have chosen the “open” Zoom option that does not require people to register/download Zoom, so, when you sign in, please use your email address if you think of it. That way we can easily make sure you’re on the email list.
