We are a Community of Worship…
“For My house will be called a house of prayer for all people.”
- Isaiah 56:7
Our Center
Worship is central to our life as a congregation. Each Sunday, we gather within the splendid Gothic edifice of our sanctuary, a space both majestic and intimate, to enter into communion with God and with one another. We seek to encounter the Holy through inspired preaching, sacred music, prayer and meditation.
Our service of worship is conducted in the reformed tradition typical of most Presbyterian Churches. The sermons are based on the Common Lectionary Bible passages for the given Sunday and speak to contemporary issues facing our lives. The Sanctuary Choir leads in congregational singing and presents two anthems chosen to illuminate the message of each service.
Once a month, we gather around the Lord’s Table to celebrate the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. All who profess faith in Jesus Christ are invited and encouraged to partake in Communion.
